The little things: They’re easy to do & easy not to do

I recently finished a book called The Slight Edge by Jeff Olsen. It emphasized on doing the little things consistently and how they can either make or break you. It’s hard to be completely self-aware without any outside influence. Sometimes it takes multiple points of views to see what habits you have, both good and bad. I’ve always been someone who wanted to constantly self-improve, to constantly be the best. However, from reading books like The Slight Edge and personal experiences, I gain awareness of habits (the little things that I do or don’t do) that I have that could be detrimental to my ultimate goal: be the best that’s ever done it (it meaning anything and everything I do).

Self-awareness is an extremely important characteristic to have if your goal is to be great or in terms of this blog, to be legendary. Another characteristic that complements this is consistency. It’s easy to be self-aware every once in a while, or after something traumatic occurs in one’s life. It’s just as easy to be self-aware all day and everyday. However, what makes the latter so much more “difficult” is that it’s easy to be self-aware occasionally or not all and much more comfortable too. It’s all about getting out of your comfort zone. Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable.

That’s apart of what this blog and my YouTube channel is. Getting more and more out of my comfort zone. Becoming more and more self-aware consistently and consistently destroying bad habits and replacing them with beneficial ones, as well as improving and building on the good habits I do possess. Consistent self-awareness and consistently acting on it creates infinite adaptability. Sounds like a super power. It is a super power. A super power we all have the potential of utilizing. Everything I’m doing you can do. You can be consistently self-aware and consistently act on that awareness.
